How to use the materials

1. Learn the Vocabulary and Sentence patterns of each text.

2. Read through the sentences in red in the Text first and translate them into English. (Listening to the sound files will help you to improve your ability in comprehension.)

3. Analyse the full sentences by labelling the components of the sentences with "subject", "verb" and "object".

4. Study the Chinese word order of each Text by analysing the positions of predicators (the main verbs and objects) in Chinese sentences.
